At the risk of sounding dramatic, the worst summer ever is coming to an end - and I can't be more happy about it.
Between surgery, and a little bit of unhappiness in my professional life this summer friggin' sucked. For a girl that lives and breathes all things baseball being stuck watching was pretty much pure torture.
The good news? Guess who's back doing T25? Yeeeeeah buddy. I missed my lover Shaun T. I have to do a lot of modifications, but I'm smart enough to know what my body can handle.
Speaking of which - I continue to do a lot of physio. My shoulder is feeling better each and everyday - but my range of motion still kind of sucks ass, but that too? It's getting better. I'm doing my exercises religiously, and seeing improvement!
Side note: wearing a dress to physio? Not a great idea.
Today also marked a pretty amazing day; my first Body Combat class post surgery. The hook punch in particular is a little difficult with a crappy range of motion, but it felt amazing to get back at it. Added bonus? The instructor (who hasn't seen me since May) told me I looked amazing. I'll take it!
And finally? My professional woes are hopefully coming to an end as I'm starting a new gig on Tuesday. Same department, same clients but in a completely different area. One that really interests me, and will be a challenge. I am so thankful for the opportunity, and I'm honored to have been selected.
I've got this - I'm more motivated than ever!
