Keurig Mini

I bought myself a little Christmas treat this year.

A Keurig Mini!

I’ve been doing a lot of research of late in regards to these types of machines, and Keurig came out on top.

The main reason? Is that you can buy a reusable K-Cup to make your own cups. Without sounding preachy, I don’t like all the plastic that goes into the K Cups, so I will be purchasing a reusable K Cup soon!

I decided to try it out today.

Pretty eh?

The machine came with a variety of different coffees.

I chose Emeril, just ‘cause I have a crush on him. “BAM!”

I put him in the machine…

Added some H2o…

Waited for about 3 mins

and had a 3/4 full (not sure I’m a fan of this) cup of steaming hot coffee!

What do you do with a 3/4 cup of coffee? Make a misto!

I actually ALWAYS turn my coffee into a misto, so this was actually a perfect amount of coffee.

Overall: Keurig = win!

What kind of coffee maker do you have?

We have a Keurig special edition. The upside is that it brews a cup in 45 seconds, and you can choose three different sizes. The downside? Who am I kidding, there is no downside! Ok, it was a little pricey, but it was a gift.

A bunch of people I know have Keurig makers. I've tried the donut shop coffee and it's really good.

We were given this Hamilton Beach one for Christmas, my first programmable one! :)

Ooh I've never seen a single-cup coffee maker like that...

I have an espresso maker, the kind that you heat on the stove, a regular coffee machine that I can set to come on before I wake up and a french press...I also stop at Starbucks regularly...I have a coffee addiction!

We have a Breville one and love it! We usually order our K cups online at I'm a huge fan of flavoured coffee and they have tons.
I just wanted to say that I love your blog. I have the same weight loss struggles and am making yet another new year's resolution to become healthy.

Happy New Year!

I also have a Keurig although a different model. I love it that I can have all the different types of coffee (and tea and hot chocolate) but can also use some of my own with the My K Cup filter. Enjoy it!

My KA coffee maker crapped out on me when I was only about 1 month post pardum = PANIC. We ended up replacing it with a Cuisinart keurig single cup maker. BEST.DECISION.EVER. It came with one of those reusable filters to add your own coffee so I can still enjoy my Just Us. But I have wastefully become a HUGE fan of the Timothy's Cinnamon Pastry and the Timothy's German Chocolate Cake...mmmmmmmmm

I have a Cuisinart Grind & Brew. What can I say? A single cup of coffee is never going to be enough. :)

Right now I just use a bodum french press to make coffee... it's actually less cleanup than my regular coffee machine (just a regular pot) which is why I like it.

We are on our 2nd Keurig. They keep getting clogged or whatnot and end up half cupping. This was a constant problem with the first machine and so the company sent us a second one, free of charge. Now the second machine is doing the exact same thing. It's a huge pain in the ass. The company has offered to send us a third machine, free. However, we now live in a rural area and do not have mail delivery at home but a PO box instead. They will not deliver to a PO box. What to do?

We can have them send it to a local friend's house or say screw it, suck it up and buy a Tassimo. Since we don't want to have Kuerigs littering our basement and this machine has proved to be nothing but a pain we are going to buy the Tassimo. :(

k cups are so great. They are so convenient. I must say that I never thought I would actually use the keurig. I thought it would be something I used every now and again. The convenience is too great though I find myself using it more than any other machine. The k cups have forever changed keurig history is pretty cool one as well. It is always amazing to hear about where someone came from or where a business came from and how it got to where it is today. It's touching to see how the stories unfold for many of these companies/people.
