Doggie Humiliation - Part Deux

If Jersey had to sum up her feelings about going to the groomer in a look, it would be this one.

She's NOT a fan of the groomer, but we have a pretty great one that Jersey tolerates. We only get her groomed once or twice a year to keep trauma to a minimum.

She knew something was up the second I got home and started talking to her in the "doggie voice" to get her to smile for her official before picture. She was having NOTHING to do with that.

Zero smiles.

She then proceeded to go hide under the piano.

Note to self: Dust under piano more.

Anways, we get to the groomer and our regular groomer wasn't there.

I'm not going to judge but let's just say if we were watching an Intervention reunion show, the 2 groomers that were there could have been cast quite easily. Oh wait, they weren't actually in the grooming salon they were out back having a cigarette, and left a clients dog loose in the salon unattended. Awesome eh?

Long story short, once again Jersey belongs on "Grooming Gone Bad".

Sadly, this is not the first time she's been butchered. You can read about that here.

This is pretty much the only look I got from her last night.

Note: She's a golden retriever, not a frickin' poodle. Goldens don't do bows. Ever.

They completely shaved her underside.

Shaved so close you can see her tattoo. I haven't seen that since she was a pup.

Not to mention they barely touched the rest of her. She feels greasy, and dosn't even look like she went to the groomers.

My poor sweet girl is totally depressed. And I can't blame her.

I wasn't the one that picked her up, and let's say Andrew is much nicer than I am.

I can hardly wait for 8:00am when they open. They will be feeling the wrath of angry-Amy.

You don't eff with my dog.

Wow, she really doesn't look like she was touched!
If you want the name of ours, she's great and grooms out of her home...she also owns a golden :)

I agree, she looks the same! Let 'em have it Amy!

P.S. I know that most "goldens" look alike, but Jersey seriously is the most beautiful golden I've ever seen. Her coat/colour is perfection!

Oh no, poor girl!! She looks quite humiliated by her bow. :S I would definitely be calling back -- maybe you can speak with your normal groomer? Grooming is quite expensive, so you definitely should be getting something better than THAT.

We have to bring Riley soon for his first groom. :S I'm quiet nervous because he's a cocker spaniel but I do NOT want the traditional cocker cut, with the top knot and the shaved back and whatever. I find it so weird!! I just want him to get a nice little trim. We will see how it goes.

Oh she looks so stinking sad..I would be ripped. For a dog to go to the groomers is horrific and depressing for them

Geez...Poor Jersey.
- I have a hard time with these posts as it so makes me want a dog again and it just isn't feasible for us.

Holy frig, I would be livid!!!!!

I wouldn't ever bring her back to those crazies.

She's still stunning, though (bare belly and all).

I have a dog named Jersey too! She's a golden retriever/duck toller mix. What a funny coincidence!

Holy crap! I would be so pissed! And I just saw your post on twitter about the reason behind. But still. It's a horrible grooming job.

Aww poor Jersey girl. Still, I could read posts filled with Jersey pics all day, bad grooming or not. And that "no smiles" pic is priceless!
