Confession: I kinda don’t love Halloween.
Usually, Halloween turns into a date night. But because we’re new to our neighbourhood, we don’t want to be “those people” who crush the hearts of all children by boycotting Halloween.
So this year, I tried my best to embrace Halloween.
That being said, I find most Halloween decor tacky… so I went with more a fall theme.
I was pretty proud of my non-tacky Pinterest-inpsired pumpkin.
I used cookie cutters. And a hammer. Cookie cutters are not meant to go through pumpkin… easily anyway.
And lit up. Pretty!
My costume? A sweaty girl who just went to spin class. Hardy-har-har.
I bought candy for about 100 kiddies, and only had about 20 kids come to the door. The office is getting a whack-load of candy today!
How was your Halloween? Did you manage to stay-clear of the candy? I can honestly say, I didn’t eat a single piece. That being said, today is a new day, and there is a mini Coffee Crisp calling my name!

I love your pumpkin! Thanks for the great idea :)
Love your fall decorations, and the pumpkin is the best I've seen this year!
I avoided the candy last night, but I have a mini Hershey's bar planned into my day.
I love the pumpkin! I don't like halloweeen, either. Dressing up & pretending to be somebody I'm not has no appeal to me. I live in a condo so no kids which means I don't even buy the candy.
We get NO kids at our house so...no candy given out. I felt bad about it but seriously, ever year we are basically out giving the candy away as no one comes down our street.
My coworkers brought in their leftovers..luckily it was just gum so I took a few pieces and was done with it. Had it been Butterfingers...there would have been a problem.
love the COSTUME :)
I went to my Mom's since we don't get trick or treaters. We had 144 kids and leftover candy. I only ate 1 piece and left the rest at my Mom's.
I LLLOOOOVVVEEEE your cookie cutter pumpkin! So cute!
I don't like Halloween either, but I do like your pumpkin! Almost makes me want to try carving one next year (or beating with a hammer, as the case may be).
I ate candy but I planned to eat candy.
Confession: I just put a big bowl of candy out on our front step. Our doorbell has been broken for years and I am hard of hearing which means I often don't hear people knocking, so I'd have to be sitting watching the door all night and we just don't get that many kids coming around in our neighborhood. Plus I'd have to be watching that the cats don't escape while the front door is open.
So bowl of candy on the step it is.
Aw love the pumpkin! x
Oh, wow. I LOVE your fall theme... and that pumpkin is super fabulous!!
