I stumbled upon the caption “10 Freezer Meals in One Day” via Pinterest one day.
Seemed easy enough. I enlisted the assistance of my two cousin-in-laws and away we went.
Jersey was happy to go visit her cousins!
First we hit up the grocery store. I was expecting a huge bill, but split 3 ways it was only about $110 each. Not too bad at all!![]()
I think it was about 1:00pm by the time we started cooking.
I’m related to a bunch of perverts. They found it particularly interesting watching me remove the sausages from their casings. Excuse my skid-like appearance. Sundays = no makeup day.
It didn’t take long for the kitchen to become a state of chaos.
But I gotta say, we handled it like pros.
By the end of the day we had: Taco soup, Chicken and Rice Soup, Sausage and Tortellini Soup, Chicken Enchiladas, Chicken and Wild Rice Casserole, Lasagna, Fettuccine Pie, Stroganoff Meatballs, and Tater Tot Casserole.
The website also called for a Hawaiian Pork Recipe, but April already had a roast in her slow cooker.
We had everything bagged by about 5:30 or 6:00pm I’d say. Not bad really.
All the meals aren’t exactly “Amy friendly” but it’s about moderation right?
I’m just happy I don’t have to cook for a while. We tried the Sausage and Cheese Tortellini soup last night and it was delicious! Leftovers for lunch today. Score!
My current problem? Not enough freezer space. The unfinished part of my basement doesn't have outlets for some reason, so I can’t plug my deep freezer in. We’re having an electrician come in to run under cabinet lights on my new cabinets (post coming on the kitchen reno soon!) so I’ll ask him to add some outlets then.
Have a great day!

Awesome idea ! Score !
What a FANTASTIC idea!!! Love it, and have to admit, I LOL at the pervy cousins laughing at the sausage removal from the casing. Hilarious. Have a great Tuesday.
Love it! I just went to "Lets dish" with a friend and have a nice supply of ready to make meals in my freezer. Makes life soooo much easier. Also just got the book "super suppers" - you should check it out on amazon. Its an entire book with recipes that you can either make right then or freeze for later with the specific steps on when to freeze in the process of making it.
