Clean Eats

I had a pretty shitty day today.

I haven’t written about this much on the blog, or even really talked about it to anyone… I kept thinking it would go away.

My shoulder hurts. It hurts a lot. My injury from last summer hasn’t completely healed apparently.

I went back to the doctor today, and it looks like there will be much more physio in my near future. I might give ART/Chiro a try too. Physio and I didn’t really jive last summer.

Side note: I think I got hit on while waiting in the physio waiting room to make an appointment. A rather attractive man asked me “So, is this your first time here?” and then proceeded to tell me all about his hockey injuries. Definitely the ego boost I needed today.

I hit up spin for a great workout and arrived home craving BBQ.

(I might have intentionally wanted to keep the meal low in carbs because I might have had a pre-spin episode with a bowl of Harvest Crunch. That stuff is like crack!)

Anyone else find it 110% easier to eat cleanly during BBQ season?IMG_8535

Lewis and Lebron James, Black Swan, Batman, Samcro Sam watched with lust in their eyes as the scent of BBQ chicken filled the back yard.IMG_8523   IMG_8512

And Jersey just looked miserable as per usual. You know, because she has the worst life ever and no one loves her.IMG_8501

End result: BBQ chicken breast, grilled corn on the cob, peppers, asparagus and zucchini.IMG_8538

Didn’t even miss the carbs.

Early to bed for me tonight. Going to watch last night’s episode of The Killing in bed. Ciao!

Yup, it's totally easier to eat well in the summer. Lots of fresh produce available and everything tastes yummy on the BBQ.
