We bought a Zoo.

Well, not really.

But 2 dogs + 2 cats = zoo.

Look who’s here for a visit:

El diablo blanco.

You know what the secret is to harmony in a house with too many pets?

Treats.

I’m the whisperer of all animals. Obviously. In all actuality, I think we all know it’s the treats that made those pictures possible. Sam and Lewis are Jasper haters.

Right before this shot was taken, Sam tried to murder Jasper. Can’t blame him really.

The good news is, the warm weather is upon us here in Ottawa. We brought out the patio set, and grilled up a feast last night.

Roasted corn, steak, pink peppercorn shrimp, and a Israeli couscous grilled veggie/goat cheese/balsamic dressing.

Delicious!

It’s another sunny day in Ottawa. Time to shower, and take the doggies to the park. Tired dogs = good dogs.

It will also give me the opportunity to stretch my sore muscles. I can barely move today. The combination of Body Pump and CX Worx yesterday and a 75 min spin class with a kazillion seated climbs has left every part of my body sore.

The week I tried something a little different. I tried to do less frequent, but longer workouts. It looked like this:

Monday: Double spin class, baseball
Tuesday: Off
Wednesday: 50 mins spin + 30 min run
Thursday: Off
Friday: Off
Saturday: Body Pump + CX Worx
Sunday: 75 min spin class

I like the challenge of longer work outs. Might try this again soon!

Happy Sunday.

You are soo funny with this Jasper dog....he seems nice but intense....hopefully the maman doesn't read your blog lol!

Have a great Sunday...wish I had more time to invest in workouts...but that's the price I pay for having kids...at least I find an hour a day :)

i've heard about the insane people that can do 2 spin classes in a row and until reading your blog i thought that was impossible!!!! :)
you are crazy (in an impressive way!!)

i am biking/spinning more and i have problems properly eating/hydrating. i'm a sweaty beast and end up getting migraines after workouts. i try various electrolyte supplements and drink lots... but it's still kind of a crapshoot.

i know its different for everyone...but do you have anything that works for you to eat/drink when you do crazy sweaty ass workouts?

thanks for any help!
