Eat a real breakfast

Prior to my initial Weight Watchers days, I never ever ate breakfast. Granted at that time, I was a university student who loathed 8:30 classes, so I was never awake before 11:00am anyways.

In an effort to follow Bob's Skinny Rules, I have ditched my usual 7:00am banana for something a little more substantial over the last 2 weeks.

Usually it's a breakfast cookie, but today it's overnight oats with grilled peaches.

If you're new to the overnight oats concept, there are a kazillion ways to make it.

But my way = oats, greek yogurt, water, chia seeds and a splash of vanilla.

I'm liking eating a bigger breakfast. Bigger meals = less hungry Amy. In fact, I'm rarely hungry for my 10:00am snack. Not rocket science I suppose.

For the most part I'm following 90% of his rules, and feeling great. I haven't had a diet pepsi in 15 days. This my friends is revolutionary!

Clearly I'm not following one rule that applies to both Bob's rule and my own personal budget:

 Don't drink  your calories.

Starbucks iced coffee is crack, yo.

I tried overnight oats for my second time last night (err, this morning?) and I have to say I'm sold and will definitely be doing it again (and again, and again). Wasn't sure how I would feel about COLD oats, but quite refreshing (esp. with a nice cup of hot tea!). The recipe I had followed had a 1/3 cup milk, so I used that, but would love to lower the calories and if you don't' add it, will go your route tomorrow :)

Big congrats on the diet pepsi (I must admit I'm not a pop consumer, not because of health, I've never been because I HATE carbonation!) but I can easily relate an addiction to something like that to one of the many "sweets/treats" that I love. Way to go, I know you were worried about that one.

Good job Amy :)

Myself I've cut our Diet Pepsi during the week...now keeping it as a treat on weekends.

I'm feeling my muscles with my new routine...but also feeling great.

Let's keep up the great work :)

When we deprive ourselves of food, like when we are trying to diet, we are creating "pain" in the form of no satisfaction and no reward. Thus eating feels good, not eating is painful.

Stress reduction, and time to be pampered. A programme sometimes called a boot camp can help an individual get back into balance and improve their overall quality of life both during the vacation and when they return home.
