I had big plans to show you some pretty pictures from my holidays today, but alas, I forgot my memory cards... so instead I'm going to write about incentives.
Incentives to lose weight.
My little blog started as a weight loss blog... then transitioned into a maintenance blog.... then kinda went to a running/fitness themed blog.... then to it's current state where I just ramble about whatever the hell I feel like writing about.
If this was a fluffy blog, I'd likely say things like "You don't need incentives to lose weight - a healthier you is incentive enough"
Puuuuuuke.
I need incentive. I like competition. I also like sparkly things.
Remember my Trollbeads bracelet that I got for Christmas?
Look what my hubby got me as an anniversary gift - A Pandora bracelet! He did good!
I've decided to return the Trollbeads bracelet, and keep the Pandora. The most important part, is that the "N" bead (for Nanny) fits the Pandora bracelet. Sadly the other 2 do not.
I've got a lofty weigh loss goal - 30 lbs. God, I hate writing that.
I have decided to procure myself a Pandora charm for every 5 pounds that I lose.
Materialistic? Yeeeeeeeeeep. Do I care? Not so much. Will it keep me on track? Absolutely.
....and that is what is important.
Breaking it up into mini 5 pound chunks will keep the goals realistic and attainable.
I'm thinking this little beauty will be my first purchase:
I've been on track food wise and will get back to the gym tonight. It's ON!

I'm with you 100% and I Can't wait to kick your ass. I think that part will be the best incentive :-P
On the materialistic incentive part, I finally get to pick out some dining room furniture if I lose 20lbs by my birthday which is April 1, so basically that 3 months to kick 20lbs worth of flab off of me to get my long sought after dining room furniture. It doesn't end there (another 20 after that is the goal), but it's where my mind is fixed right now.
I will enjoy kicking your ass supremely.
Pretty. Good luck with the incentives.
Beautiful bracelet, never saw those before...now I want one too...and I have 30-35 lbs to loose...well look at that, partner in crime ;)

Taing Jewellery in Barr Haven has an excellent selection of Pandora. This is from the girl who owns 5 bracelets (3 of them full)!
Go Amy Go! I'm all for rewards - bonus if they're pretty ;)
Great minds think alike! I also received a Pandora bracelet for Xmas so I plan to reward myself with a charm when I lose my 15 pounds.
As a mini goal I'd like to lose 5 pounds in January, before we head off on our two week vacay (which includes a 7 day sunny cruise)...and for this I will reward myself with a new bikini.
Go Amy! I love motivated Amy!
Types of kinds of pandora jewellery pieces which may have existed for long, although fashion always maintained changing. It is one of people things that can put elegance to anybody donning it and help improve the personality a lot.
