Saturday mornings have become my favourite work out of the week. Not only to I get to see Christy, but I get my ass kicked at Crossfit. Christy and I are pretty much fitness equals, so I love having her by my side to motivate me. Saturday’s are “partner” workouts and I think we both love silently challenging the other teams… and you know what? Despite being Crossfit rookies, we totally hold our own and kick some ass!
The gym where I do Crossfit is getting more popular because each week there seems to be a few more people there, which has resulted in a sign up process.
We both kinda forgot about signing up until last night, and when I went to try I got “THIS CLASS IS FULL”. Shit.
We decided to workout on our own – but with one condition:

With that said, off to the gym I went.
I kinda hate the stairmaster, so I jumped on the treadmill with plans to run for 30 mins. I always hide the display with a towel, so when I took it off to wipe my sweat when I saw 27 mins I was so surprised.
Lately, I kinda hate running too… so if I get to 30 mins without wanting to die, I usually just keep on going. I put the towel back on and ran for another 30 mins.
After the run, I did the exercises above minus the bench press. I was a sweaty mess, but I was a happy and proud sweaty mess!
I arrived home absolutely starving and felt like a waffle. I googled “Protein Waffle” and quartered this recipe. The waffle itself was kinda gross. Maybe some coconut oil would have moistened it?
What saved the day was the topping: greek yogurt, a scoop of PB2 and bananas. YUM!
Time for a shower. I have a hot date with a gorgeous red head this afternoon.
We got a ton of snow and she wants to play!
