In an effort to reduce some "issues" I've been having of late, my doctor recommended eliminating gluten from my diet for a trial run.
Good news: I've been pretty successful. It's actually not THAT bad, just requires a little planning.
Bad news: There are a lot of delicious, not-so-good-for-you foods that do not contain gluten. While I've been successful at eliminating gluten, I've also managed to increase my sugar intake by about 329508%.
If I were to insert pictures of the food I've been eating you'd see Chicago Mix Popcorn, Candy Cane Ice Cream. Lindt Dark Chocolate and Hawkins cheesies.
Needless to say, I've played the "It doesn't have gluten" card a little too much.
I'm eating a lot of healthy foods too, just a little too many treats.
I've been feeling pretty lethargic - chalk that up to the lack of gluten or the abundance of treats. I'm not quite sure. But the bottom line is, I have to push through it. Exercise is my coping mechanism, and without it, I'm pretty fucking miserable.
Moving forward: less treats, no gluten, more exercise.
